Higher Vibrations With Sound Engineer DXT3R

DXT3R DJ and Sound Engineer Skullcoasting

DXT3R reached out to me through Instagram to find out how I was able to get my Shopify shop approved since that was something he was trying to do himself. And I think that's pretty cool because I honestly believe that when you hold a question in your mind and keep on trying for the answer, it WILL come.

DXT3R is a Sound Engineer who also teaches others how to achieve radio-quality sound on their tracks. Here's our chat about skullcoasting in the world of Sound Engineering.

How would you describe yourself in a seven word sentence?

I’m very dedicated/motivated to achieve my goals.

How long have you been interested in making music?

Since High School. It’s about 15 years now.

What inspired you to teach others what you know?

I believe sharing my own knowledge helps improve myself and others.

Every day there are new things to discover.

I love to see people happy who were looking for something, and I was able to be a help in their success.

What kinds of things do you do to stay focused and inspired?

Setting short term as well as long term goals.

Consistency and hard work is key to achieve them.

What’s your favorite part about what you do?

I enjoy most of the things about music. But I really love the Mixing and Mastering sessions. Turning the knobs, faders and analyzing frequencies to have the radio quality sound really feels satisfying.

Has anyone ever given you advice or encouragement that really affected you in a positive way?

Yes, I’m speaking daily to my uncle who is running a successful business and pushing me to the limit.

If there could be any outcome from your musical pursuits, what would be the most magical to you?

I just want to feel good along the way, trusting that it will lead to someplace good.
